I was born and raised in Dortmund, Germany

I received my Bachelors in Business from the Universität Dortmund

I moved to the U.S. to get my Master in Advertising from the University of Illinois

I then worked as media planner in Houston, TX and Minneapolis, MN 

I decided to become an academic and obtained my PhD from the University of Florida

I moved to Albuquerque to start my academic career at the University of New Mexico

After 18 years, I moved continents again and now live in Sydney, Australia, working at the University of Sydney

I teach health communication and research/write about how to communicate in and about health(care) better
